The Palace Road, India Fragrance

The scent is a song to my memories of India, where I visited my grandparents in their elegant home on Palace Road, redolent of old world glamour. Sitting on the veranda in the early evening, jasmine and magnolia spilling from the garden filling the air. Hints of cloves and spices drift towards me. Intoxicating incense is burning inside. I go to the dining room to help set the table, and the chandelier above the table is glinting in the setting sun. The smoky sandalwood of the silver cabinet surrounds me like a sensuous silk sari.
